Ah Mondays, to some the most dreaded day of the week but to the lunchspot.com crew it is the one day that no decision is needed on which fine establishment we will be dining at. Of course, I am talking about Moe's Mondays, where the difference between a good meal and a great meal usually depends on timing and scoopage. The timing is important because you either hit the lottery by getting the transfer of fresh rice and/or meat, which fellow blogger RJ was lucky enough to get on todays visit or you get the bottom of the container which although usually still decent it doesn't get you so excited that you start high fiving in the line. Scoopage (i'm not sure if it is a word but should be!) all falls in the hands of the Moes employee.... it's like when the doctor puts you under for surgery you really just hope he takes care of you because its all up to him. Today, as I usually do, I went with the polite approach and asked the scoop guy how he was doing because every little piece of chicken, rice, and black bean matters when it comes to a good Joey. Today it paid off in a big way as the scoop guy was kind enough to go back for a second scoop of chicken. The cheese and lettuce was proportion nicely in my burrito and even though I had a sloppy and somewhat rushed rolling up of my Joey it still turned out to be one of the better Joeys that I can recall.
Time: We had to wait on our special guest Blake "The Freak" Hall so no accurate time was kept
Price: The loyal Moes customers have been rewarded with a return to the $5 price tag on Mondays after a brief increase to $6....paying just $5 for a burrito, chips, and drink makes me happier than Michael Jackson at a little boys swim meet.
Experience: No better way to start a week!
Atmosphere: Besides seeing 3 MPSC people it was decent....i'm joking!!! please don't get Council involved!
Also, I have always wondered why Moes has a tv....it is always on Fox News with no sound....Hello! Why not just put it on a Full House Marathon?

Nicely put.
ReplyDeleteGood Day for the lunchspot.com guys!

I had one weird bite of fatty chicken from the bottom of the container in my Joey. I can't complain other than that. Moes Southwest Grill gets a 7.5 this week.

Let's be honest here, a $5.48 lunch is just tuff to beat. See you on Monday's at Moes!
