South of the Border

Much to the delight of Matt Ishee, the lunchspot crew took a little trip south of the border today and decided to give Senor Tequila a try. The lunch got off to a rough start when we were originally placed in a booth in the back of the restaurant that 4 anorexic models could not have fit in. After prying ourselves out of the booth, we were moved to a much larger table but still had some seating issues as we were right on top of the table beside us. Needless to say the lunch wasn't off to a good start and when my drink order was messed up I was quickly beginning to question what kind of sick man Matt Ishee really was.

I tried to stay positive and not be one to judge too quickly and the queso dip that Matt so kindly shared with the table lifted my spirits up until the meal came. A meal that I had to basically draw a picture of on a napkin so the waiter could understand that I wanted a chicken quesadilla. I was excited that my order came out correct and with a load of chicken, but that turned out to be a not so good thing when the chicken was not very tasty. I decided that I prefer these Mexican restaurant for dinner when I can enjoy a couple of adult beverages.

Time: Not bad and I cannot blame Senor Tequila because we were waiting on a girlfriend of one our bloggers, who is also a non-follower of the blog to no-show us!
Price: $6.59....no complaints here!
Experience: Willing to try again in our expansion blog....dinnerspot.com
Atmosphere: Awful....not crowded, music was too low to hear and tvs were average at best.
Highs: Knowing Matt can't complain about us not going to Mexican with him anymore and the sight of Ryan trying to get out of an extremely tight booth.
Lows: I got word of a Thursday Lost recap lunch....I'm going to need a big screen for that one!

  1. I had a great lunch! My speedy was not only tasty and filling but cheap! Another high note was getting to watch Ish enjoy the entire lunch with a lil sparkle in his eye. This guy really does love Mexican restaurants and everything they have to offer!
